As I gaze into the cool blue depths of this lovely crystal I ponder what color best describes it.

Being from Minnesota ("the land of 10,000 lakes" and "...well, there are more like 14,380 lakes") it crept up on me like a winter's dawn...

Blue Chalcedony is known for being this cool, milky blue. This polished slice has a really beautiful matrix (host rock) along the sides. There are whitish inclusions inside the blue.

Psst... Chalcedony is pronounced "Kal-Sed-uny"

All sides have a smooth polish, it will be nice for holding.

PLEASE NOTE: The white line running through the middle of the stone is natural. While it feels sturdy, I caution you to not put it under pressure. If you want to carry it with you, perhaps keep it in a shirt pocket and not in your pants which would apply more force. If this piece cracks, it is due to a natural line formed inside the stone, and is not a flaw in the stone.
