Jewelry made by Boucher is becoming very difficult to find. His jewelry was extremely well made and classic in design. This brooch has irregular shaped faux pearls and two layers of curled leaf-like designs with pave set clear rhinestones. The pearls have claw settings and are open backed and it also looks like they may have been secured with a small amount of glue around the edges to help secure the irregular shapes. The metal has a thick luxurious silver plating, probably rhodium that is in fabulous condition. This is a very substantial brooch in excellent vintage condition - no missing pave set stones. The length is 2 3/4" by 1 3/4" wide. The brooch is signed © Boucher and numbered 926. After further research I found that the Copyright symbol was used after 1955.
