Description

Teal and pink floral painted ceramic beads combine with lapis, green howlite, and yellow Swarovsky crystal in a necklace reminiscent of a formal Japanese garden. Pink flowers painted on large teal rounds match smaller pink floral beads. Each of the teal beads has a blue dragonfly, and that color is reflected in the blue if the lapis. The yellow of the crystal recalls sunlight through green leaves reflecting on a clear pond surrounded by beds of flowers and leaves. The larger beads are just a little less than 1 in. in diameter, and the whole is about 21 in. in length.

Liz Rehder sent me this set of 6 floral beads as a bonus with another purchase I made from her. They appear to be hand-painted ceramic, and certainly have an Asian flavour to them, which was an immediate draw for me. I have always loved Oriental art - in fact, I can spend hours comfortably browsing in the Japanese section of the Chicago Art Institute. All the colors of the large beads were matched well with the smaller lapis, dyed howlite and crystal - and I even had some 6mm pink ceramic beads which were a perfect contrast to the pink flowers of the main beads. A fortuitous coincidence? Or just an over-stocked bead chest? Probably a little of both.

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
While other forms of payment will be accepted, I do prefer PayPal or direct payment by credit card through Etsy as the most secure payment methods for both you and me. Please contact me first if you want to use another method of payment. If you pay by personal check, the check will have to clear the bank before I ship your order.

Returns & exchanges

If there is a problem with your order, or if it arrives damaged, let me know what the issue is, and I will try to address it promptly. If damaged, please photograph the damage and send the photo to me by e-mail so I can determine if it can be fixed, or must be refunded. I stand behind the quality of my artwork. The best form of advertising is a satisfied customer!

Shipping policies

Shipping will be through USPS. All orders will be packaged and shipped in a manner suitable for delicate or fragile items.

I will ship internationally, but given the variability of shipping costs, the "cost" listing for orders from outside the United States may not be accurate. I'll try to keep it as cheap and secure for international customers as I can, but if you are ordering from outside the United States, please contact me before sending payment so I can determine what the best option is, and advise you of the total shipping cost. If you think it's too high, you have the option of cancelling the order, or we can work something out so that both of us are satisfied by the arrangements.

Additional policies

I will gladly accept orders for custom designs. If you would like an item designed for you or for a personal gift to another, please contact me, and let me know what you are interested in, and what your budget is. For custom design, a down-payment will be required, with the balance due once you have approved the finished piece. Pre-approval and full payment on a custom design must be received before the item is shipped.
