The Riviera Dress is designed with a fitted bodice down to the hips where it transitions to a whimsical gathered skirt. The bustier top comes in two views, a feminine ruched bust and a classic bustier. The gathered skirt panels begin below the natural waistline creating a drop waist style bodice. The skirt is flowy and voluminous to allow for lots of movement. This dress is a classic, feminine, and romantic style that can be worn for formal events or dressed down for daily wear.

The Riviera Pattern includes a corset top pattern with two design options, one with a ruched bust and the other with the classic bustier. The hem of the corset sits below the waist and the back laces up with ribbon and is adorned with a beautiful bow.

This pattern includes the following PDF documents: Pattern Instructions, Print at Home Pattern, A0 Large Format Print Pattern, and a Projector Pattern file. All pattern documents have nested pattern pieces with the full size range and layers.

This pattern is drafted for tall ladies and designed to be adjusted for all heights.

The pattern instructions include detailed steps for size modifications and fit adjustments including adjustments for the torso and hem length as well as an FBA (full bust adjustment) tutorial.

The dress is designed for light to midweight opaque woven fabrics such as cotton and linen. The corset works best with midweight woven fabrics including cotton, denim and linen. The corset is a great scrap buster sewing project for remnants and off cuts!

Loved making this dress. The instructions in both the PDF and the video are very concise and helpful. I can't wait to make more of these for different events! Also really loved how there are so many instructions for adjustments to make this pattern truly fit any body!

One of my favorite dress patterns! I made mine from a thrifted cotton duvet cover. I loved the details and care in the pattern instructions, and after making a toile, the fit turned out great! I made mine about 3 inches longer than the pattern, just for personal preference. Already planning to sew it again :)
