This is an antique pair of Royal pitching horse shoes made by St Pierre of Worcester, Mass. Henry St Pierre started his company back in 1938, making hand forged steel tire chains because he was always getting stuck in the mud. It wasn't until the late 1940s that he started producing pitching horse shoes.

The horse shoes are made of genuine forged steel - solid and very heavy. (Luckily, they fit in a medium Priority Flate rate box to save shipping costs.) They are rusty, but could clean up easily with the right tools and rust-busting solution.

The horse shoes measure 8 inches long and 7 inches across. They are approximately 3/8 inches thick.
