Antique Victorian Cat’s Eye Chrysoberyl & Diamond Cluster 18ct Gold Ring. Circa 1890- 1900

Beautiful Antique Victorian Cats Eye Chrysoberyl and Diamond 18ct Gold Cluster Ring.

This nicely made ring dates from the late Victorian to early Edwardian era, Circa 1890 to 1900.

Manufactured in 18ct gold; it has a very pretty round cut cat’s eye chrysoberyl in the centre with 10 old European cut diamonds.

There is also an old European cut diamond mounted on each of the shoulders.
The gemstones are held securely in place by claw settings.
The cat’s eye chrysoberyl has a definite white and green edged line across the middle, tricky to photograph, much more obvious on the finger.
The diamonds are eye clean, white, and bright.

Natural cat’s eye chrysoberyl is an expensive stone and is a stone of good fortune. It is said to bring serenity and happiness, along with optimism and generosity, creativity and kindness. It is also a stone of protection against the evil eye!

The Chrysoberyl measures 5.4mm and 3.2mm in depth.
Diamonds measure 2.5mm in diameter.
Diamonds on the shoulders measure 2.3mm in diameter.
Estimated carat weight of 0.70 carats.

The head of the ring measures approx. 10.9mm x 10.2mm and 6.9mm in depth - it really makes a statement on the finger.
Shank measures 2.4mm in width.

Weight 3.6g.

Unmarked, tests 18ct gold.

The ring size is currently K 1/2 (UK Scale) or 5 3/8 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.

Overall a highly collectible and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery; it would make a perfect engagement or dress ring.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money compared to a new equivalent.
The settings are in good condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
