Antique Lufkin Red End Folding Ruler Wood Brass Slide Rule 1950s

Antique Tool - Lufkin "Red End" X46F 6 foot folding wood and brass, extension yardstick with 6 inch brass slide rule.

Marked in red with "x46 Lufkin Red End Extension Rule" and "P.R. APPO'D 212 Tb" and ""Oil All Joints" "Pat No. 2,713,206 " on both sides.

The Rule is in great condition with all brass joints folding and unfolding easily.

Some history:

Lufkin Rule Co. was founded in 1869 by Edward T. Lufkin in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1885 the company was purchased by some business men in Saginaw. This group started operating in 1892
and the company was relocated to Saginaw, Michigan.

The government patent # 2,713,206 was issued in the year 1955.
