Description
100% silk. Each gossamer thin hankie is made from one cocoon which is stretched and dried over a frame (they are approximately 10x10). Ready to knit, spin or use in felting. Silk is one of the strongest and most lustrous natural fibers. The beauty of undyed silk is stunning, but dyed silk is exquisite.
For spinning separate out a single hankie layer, put your hands through the center and stretch out into a big circle of fiber. Keep drafting until it's as thin or thick as you like. Roll the fiber into a cute little bird's-nest, make up as many as you like, and then you're ready to go!
A friendly warning - make sure your hands are as smooth as a baby's bottom....

Was very surprised by how quickly the package arrived. The bundle's texture is pretty much smooth throughout, and only a few on the outside got a bit fuzzed by the dyeing process. The color is pretty much spot on with what I was looking for.
