A sweet and stylish 1920s purse.
Nicely homemade.
The body has been densely embroidered with dark brown silks to create a woven basket effect.
The handle has been knitted.
Decorated with a large parrot embroidered in bright, cheery tones that sits in a sparkly metal thread basket.
Finished with three pretty ombré ribbon work roses with beaded centres.
The lining has been replaced at some stage. Soft shimmery rayon edged with ribbon work garland.
Usable with due care a lovely to display.

Measurements:
The body- 14cm down and 15cm across
The handle hangs- 21cm.

Condition:
The basket effect embroidered body has fading throughout, presenting slightly purple in areas. One bead is odd. Some slightly crude stitching. The lining has been replaced. Some wear to the handle and loops.
