Suitable Fabrics:
I recommend using natural fibers such as cotton, linen, or hemp, and opting for heavier-weight fabrics like denim, twill, or canvas for durability. This project is perfect for using up old scraps from previous projects or repurposing an old pair of denim jeans. For the most durable toy, choose a heavy-weight, 100% cotton non-stretch denim.

Notions:
Thread: For durability against your pup's chewing, it’s recommended to use high-quality thread from well-trusted brands like Gütermann, Mettler, or Madeira. It is also better for your sewing machine. Polyester thread, in particular, is known for its strength and long-lasting durability.
Heavyweight needle: If you’re using denim or other heavyweight materials, be sure to use a matching heavyweight needle to handle the thicker fabric.
Optional:
Hook and Loop Tape: 3" (7.5cm) of 1" (2.5cm) wide or narrower of hook and loop tape (such as Velcro) can be added for extra security. It’s best to avoid adhesive-backed varieties, as they are not recommended for your dog or your sewing machine.
Point Turner: This optional tool will help you easily turn your project, especially in tight corners and curves. A chopstick can also work well as an alternative!
