18" Doll Regency Outfit: Redingote, Bonnet, Dress. Pantalettes, Reticule, Boots - 6 Pieces, American Girl

Imagine a time long ago in the all-too-quiet English countryside. Your family has been invited to the Summer Dance at the Assembly! All the county will be there. You and your sisters must get to the shops in the village to buy some new ribbons to spruce up your one evening gown. It’s only a 2 mile walk in the country, but best to put on your LEATHER BOOTS in case of puddles. Your summer DRESS will be fine (along with your cotton PANTALETTES underneath), but maybe you should wear your good summer REDINGOTE in case it rains and of course, your good summer BONNET, to protect your skin. Don’t forget your RETICULE (with a little surprise inside) to hold your purchases. It may be a bit excessive to wear your Best Jacket and bonnet just to walk to the shops, but you never know who you’ll meet. Maybe even the new owners of the manor just down the way. And besides, you hear there are soldiers stationed in town. Hurry now, not a minute to be lost!

To be resourceful and environmentally green, the materials I use originate from a variety of sources- theater costume shops, donations from friends and family, thrift stores and my own fabric collection. This allows me to work with a vast assortment of often very expensive heirloom fabrics I could not afford or find. All materials are clean and examined for imperfections.
