Description

All-natural, hypo-allergenic luxury! These premium comforters are covered with 500-thread-count natural ivory organic cotton and filled with 100% alpaca fiber. Queen is about 90 x 90 inches; king is about 90 x 108 inches.

Alpaca is three times warmer than wool, so you get incredibly cozy warmth without a lot of bulk. Alpaca is also known to be hypo-allergenic, which means that it presents an excellent alternative for many people who are sensitive to wool or down.

The fiber is shorn from the alpacas in the spring at Curly Eye, an alpaca farm in Missouri, then sent to a mill to be washed, carded and made into the comforter batting. When it comes back to Missouri, we add the luxury cover and knot the comforter by hand. The result is a beautiful and practical luxury.

We recommend covering the comforter with a duvet to minimize the number of times it will require cleaning. When it does need to be cleaned, the mill recommends folding it into the bathtub, gently washing it in lukewarm or cold water, then gently pressing the water out and allowing the comforter to air dry.

SHIPPING NOTE: We've seen a big increase in shipping costs since the beginning of 2017. If you'd like us to calculate shipping to your location, click the Request Custom Order button and send us your address. We can then bill you for the comforter and the actual shipping cost.
