This coptic stitch journal is covered with a piece of a woman's antique red leather glove, and distressed, reclaimed black leather. The inside covers are decorated with a romantic, French music score, "Envoi des Fleurs." It has a wrap-around length of tea-stained lace with a vintage merlot-red button to keep it securely closed.

When I was making this journal, I imagined a woman in a Paris apartment sometime in the early 20th century. It is evening, and a breeze wafts in through the open window as she removes her red leather gloves, sits down at the piano, and begins to play.

Vital Statistics:
- Size -- 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" (11.4 x 14.6 cm)
- 2" thick (5 cm)
- 220 tea-stained pages (counting both sides of each page)
- coptic stitched spine, sewn with teal blue with waxed linen thread

Paper: beautifully antiqued, tea-stained, 120 gsm paper made in France, hand-torn for old-world feel. The paper has a light tooth and is perfect for writing. It also works well for sketching.

This one-of-a-kind book comes with a card detailing its name, the materials used to make it, the book number, and date it was created.
