Description

This teacup and saucer was made by Homer Laughlin in 1916 and would add charm to any tea lovers collection.

The Genesee Shape was a fine white ware that was produced in 1911 and was discontinued between 1916 and 1920.

This shape was one of the most popular shapes and had over 400 patterns. This pattern I believe is G2003.

In 1911 Sperry and Hutchinson the producers of S & H green stamps market this shape and patterns. In 1912 S.H. Kress began marketing this style.

This set measures:
Saucer: 5 1/2 inches round.
Cup: 3 1/2 inches at the top and 1 1/2 inches at the bottom. It holds to the rim about 6 oz. of liquid.

Condition: It is in decorative condition. Part of the charm of this set is that the saucer appears to have crazing, However, some of it is the design itself. There is fading and rubbing along the edges. Several gold spots on the front of the saucer. As well as a distinct brown spot. On the back some pottery material and spots. The cup is a brighter white with some rubbing and fading along the edges. There is an indent or buckling on one side of the cup. Black mark near the bottom of the cup. Shelf ware on the bottom of the cup. It is an interesting piece. I would say
