1940s Embroidered Cowgirl Western Suit Set: Pearl Snap Shirt, High Waist Pants

1940s custom 2 piece women’s western outfit - pearl snap shirt & high waist side zip pants. Two tone, hand embroidered florals, rope trim, smile pockets. Pants have working metal Talon zipper & flap pockets with buttons. Visibly hand stitched belt loops.

The color is between khaki and dusty rose. It looks more tan indoors but pink outside.


The shirt fits like a Small.

The pants are tiny in the waist - 22” W x 29” L

BUT there is seam allowance in the back and room to move the waist buttons over.


I show it on a size small mannequin.

The pants fully zip but the waist will not button.


Shows general wear with some flaws. Sold as is.


SHIRT:

There is a missing pearl snap insert on each cuff (probably from dry cleaning press) - snaps still work. Normal surface wear (mainly at rope trim in pocket). Faint discoloration.


PANT:
Has rust marks from old hanger at the knees & faint discoloration in areas, including obvious yellowing at the crotch. The butt is worn - has some fraying, stretched seams, small holes & a seam separation. Could use a mend and patch. Nothing noticeable from a distance when worn, but is seen up close upon inspection.


One of the waist buttons fell off when I was taking photos. I did not sew it back on, as you may wish to move the buttons over for a bigger fit. I will ship the suit with the button that fell off.

SHIRT:

23” top of collar to bottom

16.5” shoulder seam to seam

22” shoulder seam to cuff

19” pit to pit - stretches to 20”

16” across waist

19.5” across bottom

15” underarm to bottom


PANT:

10” across waist - stretches to 11.5”

Fits as 22” where the buttons are at.

You could move them over and it looks like you could stretch it to a 24” waist before considering using the seam allowance


17.5” across hips (taken at bottom of zipper) - stretches to 20”

29” inseam

Only 1” inside hem

42” outseam

14” front rise

17” back rise
