Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation'

A stable, tissue-culture-originated variegated form of Monstera deliciosa, first developed in Thailand. It is grown for its creamy, star-scattered variegation - speckles, flecks, and marbling of cream to pale yellow distributed across the deep green leaf like a constellation, with each leaf uniquely patterned. A vigorous, climbing hemiepiphyte that develops the characteristic fenestrations and splits of the species as it matures on a support. Because the variegation is tissue-culture stable rather than chimeric, it is reliably passed on and less prone to reversion than many variegated Monsteras.

Light: Bright indirect light is essential for maintaining the variegation and supporting growth across the reduced-chlorophyll sectors. Avoid direct harsh sun which scorches the cream tissue.
Soil: Chunky, well-draining aroid mix of orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir; excellent drainage essential. Never waterlogged.
Temperature/Humidity: Warm temperatures between 65-85°F; humidity of 60-70% supports the best growth and cleanest leaf emergence. Avoid cold below 50°F.
Watering: Allow the top 1-2" of medium to dry between waterings; water thoroughly and drain completely. Never waterlog - variegated forms are particularly sensitive to root stress.
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly during active growth; train on a moss pole for larger, more fenestrated leaves. Reduce in winter.
