The Illustrated Bartsch Vol 53 Pre Rembrandt Etchers, rare Art History Hardback 1985. By Kahren J Hellerstedt, David G Wilkins. Published by Abaris Books 1985. This rare catalog contains 397 pages of reproductions of the stunning works of sixteenth and seventeenth century etchers and artists. Includes Herman Breckerveld, Pieter Lastman, Hessel Gerritz and many more (17 artists in all). Full page black and white illustrations with accompanying identifying text. A study of etching artwork of various techniques and styles from masters of the pre Rembrandt era. Includes some fascinating old world maps, for example Ireland, New Foundland and what was then known of the east coast of North America. Pastoral, 'everyday' scenes from the times. A particularly amusing walrus. Religious depictions. An art historians essential companion and muse. This book could also be great as an art project, decoupage, collage etc.
Red cloth bound. 'Gold' embossed title. No dust jacket. Cover somewhat faded to pinkish hue with age, especially spine. Cover has some scratch marks and a small stain or mark on title border. Well bound and pages in good condition, intact, no tears, dog ears, written notes or marks.

Returns and exchange details

Refunds window is open for 2 weeks after delivery of purchase, buyer will pay return shipping. Tracking information is required re proof of delivery.
Reports of damaged items must be accompanied by detailed description and photos of damage to item and / or packaging.

Shipping policies

Items will be shipped by 3 business days of order unless otherwise discussed. The address on Etsy and or Paypal will be used. If there are different addresses or any confusion RospersEmporium will convo the buyer.
Packaging materials are often recycled/upcycled boxes etc but never at the expense of the security of the item during transit. Post office is prefered carrier, customer may request different, example, FedEx or UPS.

Additional policies

All our items are inspected thoroughly for damage prior to listing. Damage is noted in listing, for example a chip on some china, or wear and tear on a book or doll. All items are cleaned/washed as is compatible with the item. After cleaning items are stored in sealed containers in a clean dry area.
