Item details

Vintage from the 1950s

sterling silver, tigereye

This is a favorite amongst collectors! The sterling boomerang shape holds a wire-set tigereye stone. The inner section is oxidized for contrast. Sigi Pineda's designs are delightful; flowing and modern. Born in 1929, his life could be a movie. He excelled in many artistic mediums but silverwork designs really stand out as his "best of the best" skills. The brooch is marked Sigi Tasco (blurred) in ovals, Eagle 36, Sterling, Hecho en Mexico and 34. It measures 2-1/4" by 1-1/4". It is in very good condition, but needs a gentle cleaning. Small scratches from age.
