Description

Set of 4 1920's Bavaria Schumann, German porcelain bread or dessert plates. The plates have a slightly scalloped edge, with a heavy applied gold edge. At the centers and around the rims are blue wildflower bouquets. The edges have a raised lattice & floral pattern in the porcelain, further enhanced with gold cartouches. Back stamped in green, Bavaria Schumann Germany surrounding a lion in a crowned shield. This mark dates the plates to 1918-1929. Each also has a stamped number, also in green.

Very good vintage condition. Free of any chips, cracks or crazing. Expect minor spots of gold loss and utensil marks.

Each are approx. 6.25"d.
