May I present your next showstopper gown, courtesy of Emma Domb, renowned Midcentury designer. This is a well-constructed long cocktail/occasion gown featuring a true green structured bodice with a stunning collar trim of green sequins and white pearls. The little cap sleeves are adorable. The dress features a grass green opaque nylon/rayon/polyester of some sort overlay, floating over an almost teal green, smoothly gathered, taffeta/acetate skirt. The colors and materials blend into a stunning and fully flattering gown that will make you feel, and look like, a Hollywood queen. the volume of fabric used for the over skirt is phenomenal. This dress really is t awesome!! You’ll knock ‘em dead in this dress. I take my pictures in natural light with no color editing.
The condition is near excellent, there are no stains or snags and the seams are sturdy. There is some fraying of the material at the inner arm hole seams, but the seams themselves are fine. The top neckline snap is complete, the slightly lower down neckline hook and eye fastener is missing the eye. The long color matched zipper by Talon zips up and down without snagging. The dress is from the 1960s, as early as 1963. My dating methods are based on the tag library from vintage fashion guild. org
