Description

MADE TO ORDER
Hand embroidered scapulars -- 100% wool felt (as per Brown Scapular conditions), brown and ivory, with brown braided ribbons. All hand-sewn. These scapulars are made to order -- I prefer to know who I am sewing for each time I make one. Each one is unique, so they may not be identical to the photos, though they will be almost identical.

**************Please read the information below so you will know to choose the designs you prefer.****************

One side of the scapular is embroidered with the Ave Maria monogram, the Miraculous Medal "M", the Immaculate Heart of Mary, or the "Regina" image. The other side can be embroidered with either the Sacred Heart of Jesus, IHS with the crown of Jesus, or the Chi Rho image.

Each scapular requires about 4 hours of careful embroidery, thus the cost and time required to wait for one. It often does not take as long as predicted, but if I have a number of scapulars to sew, it might.

There is an option to add a crucifix and a Miraculous Medal or St. Benedict medal for an additional fee. Please let me know at the checkout which medal you would prefer. If you do not make a selection, the default choice will be a St. Benedict medal. The medals may vary slightly from those pictured, based on what is available for me to order.

The brown ribbons are 19" long. If you need those adjusted to a different length, leave a note at the checkout.

These scapulars are made to order, and if you need more than one, please note all of the designs you would like when you checkout (you will find a box for notes -- use this space).

If you would like more than 8 scapulars, please contact me for a special reserved listing.

Please take note of delivery time when you check out -- it is 3-4 weeks.

For upgraded or international shipping, please send me a message and I'll adjust the listing.

About the scapular: In the year 1251, Our Lady appeared to St. Simon Stock, a Carmelite. She handed him a brown woolen scapular and said, “This shall be a privilege for you and all Carmelites, that anyone dying in this habit shall not suffer eternal fire.” In time, the Church extended this magnificent privilege to all the laity who are willing to be invested in the Brown Scapular. The scapular must be 100% wool without plastic casing and should not be pinned or affixed to clothing. It is worn over the head, under one’s clothes, with one square of wool hanging on the chest and the other on the back. -- sistersofcarmel.org

very beautiful, soft and well made. i have not taken it off since i got it. make sure you order ahead of when you need it since it is handmade and takes time for the delicate stitching. she even includes instructions on washing it right on the packaging. highly recommended. you won't be disappointed.
