Highlights
A highly detailed and difficult to find statue, this religious piece depicts the "Miracle of the Candle". This was an event in which the Saint Bernadette both bore witness to a holy apparition as well as became a conduit for a miracle before the crowds of Lourdes; the flame of the candle she held licked her palm yet did not burn her. Our statue depicts this very moment atop a lovely base that depicts both cathedral windows as well as the silhouette of the Sanctuary of our Lady of Lourdes.
This piece is in good condition. There is mostly wear noticeable on the top of the Madonna's head where the finish has been worn enough to expose the colour of the metal underneath. There are a few other similar patches though they are similarly small. There are also some very fine, short scratches on the robes of the Madonna near the rosary she holds. The underside of the base also appears quite worn from shelf wear. Please refer to the photos for a better overall idea on the condition of this piece. There are no broken or missing parts. This piece was cleaned thoroughly before listing and measures approximately 7" by 3" by 3".
