Description

Holiday cards for Pagan holidays! Because why shouldn't we have bright cheerful greeting cards to send people? There is no reason. Whatsoever.
This card features Marjoram, the March fairy, and an orchid, because they bloom in March, and it is purple and yellow, because those are Ostara colors (though reports on that may vary...).

A tidbit about Ostara (paraphrased from various sources):
Ostara: March 20 (in 2015; it changes slightly from year to year). Also known as the Spring Equinox. The second of the spring holidays, sacred to Eostre (a Germanic/Norse goddess, mainly associated with spring, her symbols are bunnies and eggs). Colors are purple, yellow, green, pastels, etc. It's the first official day of spring; the equinox balancing day and night. There's a strong association with fertility and growing things.

About my "Fae and Furious" pieces:
They're faeries. Painted very quickly. (I usually spend obsessive amounts of time agonizing over the details of my watercolors, these I popped out in a few short hours after which I had to force myself not to tweak them.) They're furious because the fairies are all at war with each other, and also it's a wordy play on "Fast and Furious" and because it's the name that sticks the best (all the other ones were much worse, I assure you).

A tidbit about Marjoram:
Marjoram is one of the 13 fairies that I made up once upon a time (ha ha, no pun intended...ish) when I was a composing a (as of yet and probably perpetually) unfinished story about Sleeping Beauty. There's one for every month, plus one extra. They have all sorts of alliances and suchlike and are at war, and elemental, and all have weird names that are vaguely associated with their month names, function, or holidays therein.
Marje is the fairy of March (as one might suspect). She is allied with Juniper (June) and Augustine (August), She is the 7th oldest (all the fairies are sisters). She likes plants, and sometimes finds her sisters a bit tedious.

Oh yeah and card details, for people who care about that sort of thing:
Cards are approximately 5 1/2" by 4 1/4", and come with a slightly larger envelope to put them in (these ones are green, although there is a stamp on the one in the photos there will be no stamp on the one you receive; it is just for reference). This one is also blank on the inside, so that you may fill it with the message of your choice! (Such as "Happy Ostara!") And it'll be packaged in a cardboard mailer, so it won't get all bent up.
