Pattern and Instructions for Elizabeth R and Young Bess by Antonette Cely as pdf

Description

This is a pattern for both Elizabeth I of England and herself as a younger woman. both dress paterns are included. She is a half-doll, insofar as her body below the waist is just a cone shape, and the dress is built on top of it. This also allows her to stand alone without the use of a doll stand, and that is a good thing. Make sure you stuff that part very tight, though, or she will tilt.

The face is very minimally needle-sculpted, and then the features are drawn on with colored pencils. The hair is yarn that is sewn on in one of two styles. The dress can be more elaborate if you want to add embellishments and pearls. Add some wonderful jewelry to make her even more regal.

The dolls stand about 13 inches tall when done. I think you'll be very pleased with the end result.
Thanks for taking the time to read. Enjoy, and Happy Dollmaking!
