My home studio is located on our tiny family farm in the rurals of Vermont. I look out my window to see our hens running and goats romping, while looking over large, open expanses of fields and forest. What happens when I take a walk in this magical setting? I come home with handfuls of nature to press into clay to see what beautiful things may result!

These art tiles handmade from white stoneware and fired in a kiln for maximum durability. The surface of the tiles are imprinted with real ferns, blossoms, leaves, branches and grass that I collect on my walks, then high fired in my ceramics kiln. The resulting surface allows you to feel the impressions the botanicals left in the clay.
