This painting is from a long running series of abstractions I have been working on. Inspired initially by the work of Gerhard Richter they have become, for me, meditations on the beauty one can find in letting go, while at the same time guiding the direction.

While purely an abstraction this painting is inspired by my time spent walking along the Northeast coast.

The photos are not altered in any way except for being cropped. Paintings in real life are somewhat different than in photographs, due to lighting and differences in computer displays. Please allow for some variation.
