Soft and luscious natural colored fiber is lovely natural rich, multihued brown, made from fiber from local farms within an hour of our place. We've got about 2/3 gorgeous colored alpaca ranging from true black and chocolate brown to copper and fawn from Alpacas in Wildcat Farm in Eskridge, KS, about 1/3 fine wool and llama from Ewephoria Farm in Lawrence, KS. The broad range of colors blends into a sensational, complex darkish brown heathery color, just lovely

I know the growers personally. They're wonderful people who raise very well cared for, contented critters.

Unlike mass-produced combed top, the small-batch stuff has the loft and bounce of roving, but the silky nep-free and VM-free glory of top. Best of both worlds! Yay!

If you've struggled with alpaca top before, you'll really enjoy spinning this combed top. It's soft and silky, but with so much more air in the mix that it's much nicer to spin than commercial stuff.

This makes a lovely yarn of any weight and is a real joy to spin. Price is for 4 ounces.
