Description

Quartet, Quarry, and Quiver...words that start with the letter F (and a some Ps too). Lots more R words on the flip-side!

Fun English Lessons For German Kids.

This very cool original double-sided illustrated page is from a 1890 antique English/German illustrated dictionary published for Mennonite and Amish children at the end of the 19th century; twelve weird and nifty little-engraved images printed on each side.

I've been holding on to this collection with the intention of using these cool 2" x 1.5" images to make Domino/poker-chip pendants and key-fobs with them, but so far I haven't done that yet, so I'm offering them here to you for you to do something fun with them.

This 7.5" x 10" page like the others in this series, is in well-loved condition with a lovely soft and even light tanning and the usual spots and finger smudges one find on antique paper that's 127 years old; in other words, it's not new and certainly not perfect.

Matted, framed and displayed as a gallery grouping, these wonderful antique children's prints are simply spectacular. (Please note that the framed examples in the last photo are just to show how this might look when it's framed. Your antique dictionary print will come to you unmatted and unframed.)

Surrender Dorothy offers a non-stop jaw-dropping cornucopia of frame-worthy antique and vintage prints, drawings, sketches, plans, lithos, engravings, posters, maps, charts, and illustrations of all kinds to adorn every room in your happy home. Terrific finds to gussy up your workplace too.

Our entire inventory moves in and out of here very quickly and fresh selections are added each day, Please be sure to bookmark our shop and check back to visit us often so you don't miss our latest discoveries.

I'll send this to you First Class Mail by way of those nice folks at the USPS packed flat and protected in a rigid mailer.

Payments

Secure options
  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
We prefer PayPal as it's the fastest and safest method.
Cashier's Checks and Money Orders are okay too but only if they are received within four days of your order, otherwise we'll cancel the order and put the item back up for sale.

We BEG you guys, Please... If your Etsy Address and PayPal Addresses are different, please please let us know where you would like us to send your package. We have a real talent for choosing the wrong one.

Returns & exchanges

Returns
We are happy to accept returns in good condition in the original packaging shipped within 48 hours as exchanges only and you agree to pay postage both ways.

Damages In The US Mail.
They happen sometimes.
Although we carefully wrap our vintage breakables in tons of bubblewrap and tons of padding and pack them in sturdy shipping boxes, damages still sometimes happen. *sigh*
Please tell us about damaged goods ASAP. Photograph the damages and send photos to us so that we can work it out with USPS.

Shipping policies

We ship by way of the United States Postal Service only.
Yes, FedEx and UPS are a little bit cheaper, but we find them to be very brutal with our delicates and breakables, so we refuse to play with them.

International Orders
The answer is YES we do ship internationally. Please just ask! There are many shipping destinations on this planet and each one is a slightly different price.

Additional policies

While it is considered customary for many antique and vintage shops to consider offers and dicker prices, our shop simply doesn't.
We've priced our merchandise as fairly as humanly possible. Please don't ask us to haggle.
Thank you.
