Description

This 9" Havilland Plate is older than dirt, thats for sure. It has Davis Collamore Co. printed on the back with the H & C mark, underlined twice. The coloring on the birds and background is bright and not worn. There is lacey gold around the top edge and that is also in beautiful shape. On the very outside edge where the plate is scalloped, the gold is quite worn and I did find a chip in the upper edge, shown in photo 1 and 3, almost directly at the noon spot. It actually looks worse in the photos than it does in person, but better that way, than the other way around. I believe this plate dates back to about 1880, and is a great display piece, which is all I ever used it for, as did my mother-in-law before me. For its age, it is in really great shape. The chip in it kills me.
