This is a pumpkin casserole that I turned on my wheel. I work with high-fired stoneware clay -- that means that this casserole is microwavable and oven safe. The glazes I uses are also food safe.

The body of this casserole measures about nine inches in diameter. That makes it about a two quart casserole. To the top of the twisted stem, it measures about nine inches.

The stem is a pulled handle (not an extruded piece). Because of this, and because the body is thrown (not cast), though I make several of these jars in a year, no two of them are exactly alike.
