Palm thimbles are commonly used in Japanese sashiko stitching in which the thimble slides over your middle finger and provides a cushion to push a long needle loaded with stitches through the fabric layers. However, unlike most other palm thimbles which are made of metal or have tight elastic, these thimbles are made of soft leather that’s been sourced from discarded scraps. As such, these thimbles are super comfortable for hours of ergonomic hand quilting.
