Description

This listing is for two handcrafted pottery wine glasses. Each base is a hollow, wheel-thrown piece layered with two lead-free glazes, then fired to cone 5 (2250 deg.F). After cooling completely, the goblet portion is added with the help of a glass cutter and strong epoxy. These sturdy, functional pieces will bring years of enjoyment. I have even found them to be an excellent conversation starter!

Part of the beauty of hand made work it that each piece truly is one-of-a-kind. I do not use molds, but weigh the clay prior to throwing to help ensure like sizes. Yet, due to its homemade nature, there may be a trivial difference in height and width of stem. Expect slight variances in how the glazes blend, run, etc. Each goblet is approximately 8.5 to 9.25 inches in height and hold 8 oz of liquid. I recommend hand-washing.

** WATCH ME CREATING THESE GLASSES! "The Life of a Wine Glass"... Click on "Potterybydaina" above; then click "About"; finally click "Blog'"on lower right corner.

*From left, available colors are: Turkish Amber, Layered Fern, Metallic Green, Midnight Teal, Cobalt Blue. I am happy when YOU are happy.... I use many glazes and embellishments/textures. If you don't see something that totally floats your boat, let's talk!
