Shipping policies
DOMESTIC:
I ship all my items USPS first class, unless the customer specifically requests otherwise. This comes with automatic tracking. I do not request delivery confirmation, nor do I insure packages under $100.
I try to ship items at least twice a week.
INTERNATIONAL
I ship all international packages USPS first class, unless the customer specifically requests otherwise. This comes with a customs number for tracking. Please note that tracking is only possible to the US border. Once the package has left the country the USPS can no longer track the item. Canada, I believe, still follows the tracking code, but as far as I know, they are the only country that does.
I list the item as "row counter" on the customs forms, and list the wholesale price (rather than the retail price). This reduces VAT in most cases and still allows me to be honest. (The customs form asks for the "value" of the item, not the price paid! Maybe I should put priceless on the value, but who knows what your customs folks would do with that! ;)
