🔧 Filter Compatibility (Important)

When mounting the air filter directly to the MAF, use a filter with a 70 mm inlet diameter.

Headlight shape limits the maximum filter size.

Pre-facelift MX-5 NB (NB1, 1998–2000):

• Maximum filter length: 150 mm (absolute limit)
• Recommended: 140 mm or shorter for guaranteed clearance

Facelift MX-5 NBFL (2001–2005):

• Larger headlight clearance
• Filters up to 160 mm fit safely
• Standard cone filters (150–160 mm) work normally

These measurements apply when using the intake without the Velocity Stack Add-on.
