The lids are turned and carved to resemble the 'real' ring..really nice to hold.

A new metal ring is securely attached to the inside of the wood allowing you to use the regular mason lid underneath, keeps things dry and fresh or you can also use it for liquids without any transfer of flavors or odors.

Available in both wide mouth and regular sizes and a choice of dark walnut or cherry. Choose your preference with the drop down menu. if you have any special request for your 4 jars just leave a note in the message to seller upon checkout.

I have not included jars with the lids to keep the shipping costs as low as possible, the jars are readily available in most towns.

Hand wash, wipe dry..finished with a food safe sunflower oil- pure beeswax mixture.

The lids are so different and make an iconic item unique. I found some vintage Mason/Ball jars over the weekend and they look beautiful with the lids. Thanks so much they look wonderful on my kitchen counter.

Beautifully crafted wooden tops, which makes an ordinary jar look so unique. The wood is so beautiful and the craftsmanship is superb. My jars look warm and inviting in my kitchen. These lids were exactly what I needed to make my mom's day. She gushed over them and said they fit in beautifully in her craftsman home. I post this not as a criticism of the artist, but an advisement to anyone expecting a fast shipment: I ordered the lids on 3/4, and received notification that they had been shipped on 3/26. Cattails did send out a 2nd shipment on 4/28. The original box postmarked 3/26, arrived on 5/1. They are well worth the wait, just know that Canada to US is a longer trip than expected.
