Description

Rainbow Bird Sewing Pattern

To Create a Flying Bird

20" from wingtip to wingtip

and 13" from beak to tailtip

Create one for a Child's Bedroom Decoration

EASY PATTERN!

This pattern began, 30 years ago, as a design for a red breasted robin, but the finished bird did not sell well in the 1970s at the Portland Saturday Market so I made a more colorful version with the same pattern and named it the Rainbow Bird and people loved it! People bought the birds in my gift shop in the 1980's as hanging decorations. Now you can buy the sewing pattern from me and make a flying bird to hang from your child's ceiling!

The pattern is full sized and the instructions are illustrated and easy to read.

I designed this pattern and many others and had them printed. My business name is Fantasy Creations (please check out my etsy store). This pattern was published in 2007. It is new and uncut. I can recommend this pattern for any experienced seamstress.

Visit my etsy store, Fantasy Creations to see my many other wonderful patterns! I also have a Soaring Seagull Pattern, a perfect design for adding to a coastal themed room decor.

I designed over 100 different stuffed animals and sold them in my gift shop in the early 1980s. I printed patterns for some of my best selling designs so that other creative folks could make these same adorable stuffed animals to sell at church bazars or give as gifts. Before I made the patterns I asked women who bought patterns what they liked and would want me to avoid. My patterns are full sized, printed on one side of the paper only, the instructions are in one area, or on a separate sheet, so they will not be cut up, and I wrote the instructions and illustrated them clearly and in simple English. The pattern is published on quality 11" X 17" white paper.

I reserve the copyright on all of the patterns. Feel free to handcraft as many Rainbow Birds as you like for craft sales and gifts but do not reproduce or sell the pattern or use this pattern as a manufacturer. I retain copyright on all photos of my work on the internet or in brochures. You have the right to photograph your own finished stuffed animals. Contact me if you have any questions. I really want my customers to be happy.

Payments

Secure options
  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
I accept Paypal and Etsy Direct (please set your Paypal preferences for immediate payment by credit card or debit card). E-checks are very problematic and take many days or even weeks to clear. I ship orders the business day after payment is completed. I print the address label through Paypal or Etsy so it is essential that your provided address is current and accurate.
I do not accept money orders.
I do not accept checks or take credit cards directly but Etsy can process credit cards.
I expect payment within 3 business days unless you contact me about a reason for a longer delay.
Because I am located in Oregon I do not charge any sales taxes.
If a customer needs to cancel a sale it is essential that they communicate with me right away.

Returns & exchanges

If you wish to return an item please do so within 5 days of receipt.
US orders include delivery confirmation. If an order is lost in the mail and not delivered I will replace it after confirming it lost. If an order was confirmed as delivered by USPS and yet you never got it, contact me. I want my customers to be happy and return for more patterns. I can ship you another copy of the pattern.
International orders: Contact me if an order is lost or destroyed in transit. Because it can take a month to arrive in some places I will replace it only after 30 days have passed.
The customer is responsible to read listings carefully and examine the purchase when it arrives. The customer is responsible for return S&H and insurance costs. I will refund or exchange an item if the customer contacts me and it is returned to me uncut, in good condition, immediately. Prompt communication is important.

Shipping policies

The shipping method I use is United States Postal Service. I print the labels through Paypal or Etsy. Delivery confirmation for US customers is included in S&H. Patterns are shipped by First Class. Insurance is not included in S&H.

International Customs: patterns alone can be mailed First Class as printed matter. If eyes or fabric are included the customer must pay any customs fees. I will give the value accurately on the customs form. Be aware that customs can delay your order arriving, by as much as 4 weeks, although I ship very quickly.

Packing: My patterns are mailed in a ziplock bag in a sturdy envelope.

Additional policies

I don't do gift wrapping. I only ship to the address of the buyer.
I offer combined order discounts on S&H. Convo me if you want several patterns and I can create a reserved combined listing with reduced S&H just for you.
I would be willing to discuss wholesale orders on my patterns. The minimum order for wholesale would be $100.
I don't do consignment, or loan out my work.
If you are a legitimate magazine representative you are welcome to convo me. I am interested in publishing and publicity.
Allergens: we are cat lovers but not smokers or fragrance users.
