This Download includes:
1 - The Introduction
2 - The Pattern Pieces
3 – The Tutorial
Wadding - If it readily available in your area, you may wish to switch the three layers of wadding in the Tutorial for one layer of Soft and Stable (or similar) as it is easier to sew. If so, you will need to cut two rectangles of Soft and Stable 22″ X 15″ and one strip of Soft and Stable 44″ X 11″ an overall size of 44" X 30" should be sufficient. Two layers would give a sturdier finish.
Errata - In the Tutorial, step 31 for the Windows, it says: "Take two window part 2 pieces and sew to the top and bottom of window...etc". This should say "Take two window part 4 pieces which would be the window frame top and bottom pieces".
If anything doesn't make sense or doesn't work as expected, please contact me and we will try to resolve it. I would also very much appreciate any other feedback you may have and, of course, if you make a Caravan, I would love to see a picture.

Loved making this cover. I used foam for bag making instead of three layers of wadding. I thought it might be easier to sew. I added a dog and cat in two of the windows too 😊

The instructions were very clear and the finished product is really cute! I made a few changes on how I made the wheels and circular window just to make it easier on myself. I was very impressed with how spot-on the measurements were. Everything lined up so easily!!

What a fun pattern this is! It’s worth the time to do this one right! I’m an experienced sewer and it was challenging, but doable. I suggest reading the instructions carefully and practicing new techniques first. I chose to use Soft ‘n Stable by Annie instead of batting (wadding) and then I added a layer of Peltex (Pellon 70F) for additional stability, which added some complexity to the construction. As such, I did change a few steps. The lining was too big and I couldn’t hand sew it into the camper nicely. I ended up pulling it out, taking it apart and quilting it, then pin fitting it. Instead of tacking it in, I used spray adhesive to fix it into the camper. The other construction change I made was to use fusible appliqué for the doors and windows and added wheels to the backside. It makes me smile to look at it!

Love this patten. I did take a lot of liberties with how i put this together, most were just time savers. For example, I used already quilted cream colored fabric. Turned out really cute!
