The Squared Circle Box is a contemporary keepsake box, ring box, or small jewelry box that features a unique magnetic snap closure that keeps the box securely closed, but is easily opened by twisting the two halves apart. It has a nice deep circular compartment good for hiding your most valuable treasure. The top is adorned with dot abalone inlay often used in musical instrument making. For durability, smoothness, and aesthetics, the finish is 3 coats of acrylic lacquer.

If you would like to use this box for a ring presentation, I offer a foam ring insert for $5.
This can be seen in the last picture.
The insert is Ultrasuede lined over foam and has three slots which give it versatility for an engagement ring, his/her wedding rings, a ring and a pair of earrings, or three individual rings. It is secured to the bottom of the box with double stick tape so it can be removed if desired.

The bottom of this box can be monogrammed for $5 (the top of the box won't work because of the abalone inlay). See this listing:

Dimensions: 2.5” square, 1.6” h
Internal: 1.875” circle, .95”deep (plus .4” under lid)

Woods: See Photos for Wood Types. Drop down list will let you know what is available.

The finish I use is a CAB acrylic lacquer from Sherwin Williams with the vinyl sealer base coat. I often use paste wax with steel wool to make the piece feel better to the touch and to bring out the sheen.
Very little care if any is necessary aside from removing dust occasionally. You can use an air canister if you like. You may also use any wax type polish to bring out the sheen. If alcohol or a chemical gets on the piece, wipe off immediately. Letting a chemical sit will ruin the finish.
The leather lining I use is a synthetic suede called Ultrasuede. It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Custom orders are accepted based on wood type only, unless a large quantity is desired. My boxes are all made in batches and are not conducive to size changes. I can do monograms as seen in this listing:
