Peony Recessed Light Shade 6" - Decorative LED Can Light Cover

This elegant shade kit for 6" can lights adds some beautiful ambiance and flair to those plain recessed lights in just minutes!

Our patent pending design requires NO TOOLS OR HARDWARE. They're great for the kitchen, dining room, bedroom, study, anywhere you want to add a unique artistic touch and diffuse the overhead light at the same time.

Our shades should ONLY be used with fixtures that never get too hot to touch! For bulbed fixtures use only LED bulbs. For newer, bulb-less lights always check to be sure it doesn't get too hot to touch comfortably (see more details below).

Our recessed light shades come in both 4" and 6" size options, the most common can light sizes. If you have a different size than this (3" or 5", etc.) just let us know! We have custom adapter tabs that will allow these sizes to fit!

This listing is for the 6" option.

Fits both can lights (the ones with deep housings that hold a standard bulb) and the newer LED bulb-less and can-less fixtures.

***IMPORTANT: TO ENSURE PROPER FIT, YOU MUST MEASURE THE DIAMETER AND THICKNESS OF YOUR LIGHT TRIM PRIOR TO PURCHASE***

We're happy to confirm your size for you if unsure. Just message us a pic of your light with a tape measure laid flat across the center of you light and we will happily confirm what size you need!

This 6" shade option will fit trim within these measurements:
Diameter between 6.5" to 7.75"
Max thickness of trim edge 1/4"

Note: we can provide adapter tabs for our shades to fit just about every size, so let us know if your light trim doesn't fit within these specs!

The shade itself is 9.75" wide x 2.25" tall

These shades will not fit domed, articulating recessed lights. If unsure, please send us a pic of your light and we can help!

*⚠️ Heat & Fixture Compatibility*
These recessed light shades are designed exclusively for LED recessed lights and LED puck lights that operate at low temperatures.

While LEDs generally run cooler than traditional bulbs, some fixtures—especially enclosed or high-output puck lights—can still generate enough heat to soften PLA plastic over time. For this reason, compatibility depends on the fixture, not just the fact that it is an LED.

This product is NOT recommended for fixtures that:
-Become hot to the touch after 30–60 minutes of use
-Are fully enclosed or sealed with little to no airflow.
-Use a non-replaceable LED module that runs hot

QUICK AT HOME CHECK BEFORE ORDERING:
Turn your light on for 45–60 minutes. If the trim or lens is too hot to rest your hand on, the fixture is not a good fit for our shades.

About the optional diffusion disc:
Using a diffuser can reduce airflow and increase heat buildup in some fixtures. If your light already runs warm, we recommend using the shade without the diffuser or selecting a cooler-running LED fixture.
