The Hummingbird Dress is a versatile bodice/skirt styled dress that has three different versions: the "Everyday", the "Dress-Up" and the "Something Special". With a fully-lined fitted front and elastic back bodice with narrow straps that are sewn in, this little dress has enormous potential.

Included in the pattern is 3 different skirt options, as well as suggestions on tunic and maxi dress lengths, instructions on adding embellishments to the straps, as well as professional techniques on fully enclosing the skirt seams within the lined bodice.

The Hummingbird has been designed for wovens, but the range is unlimited - from silk to satin, lace to sequins, homespun to corduroy - the Hummingbird can cover it all. Perfect for all seasons, it can take your little girl from the height to Summer through Autumn with a little shrug, to Winter with a long sleeve tee and back through Spring to Summer again! The skirt will fall to just below the knee (tea length).

Base your sizing choice on the chest measurement within the chart - not your usual RTW (ready to wear) size.

This is a simple, straight forward pattern that you will complete easily.

This pattern is for sizes 1 year to 12 years.

Such a cute pattern!! I wanted to make a dress but didn’t have enough fabric so adjusted the measurements to make the top. Got a lot of compliments on it! Took me awhile to get it done the first time but I think with practice it will get easier. Can’t wait to make more!

Instructions are easy to follow and the dress came out ADORABLE. Be sure to use the measurement guide to choose the correct size. My daughter wears a size 6 in regular clothing, I made a size 7 of this pattern and it fits like a glove. Will probably make her an 8 next time.
