MY WORK PROCESS

I get my inspiration from anything around me. From nature in general, the beautiful shape of stones, the structures of tree bark, the movement of the waves, the color of the fishes, birds and butterflies and thousands of other objects around me daily ! Everything I look at, gives me an idea for designing a piece of jewelry.

Sometimes it takes me days or weeks to shape a design in my mind. Then comes the process of putting my idea to paper by sketching. Numerous sketches lead ultimately to making from polymer clay a first form of the jewelry that I have in mind. This gives me the possibilities to change my model until it has become completely to my liking.

When I finish modeling , I fire it in the oven. Thereafter I can wear my design sample and see if fits and suits nicely.

When I am satisfied with my model, I start crafting my jewelry with fine silver clay (PMC)
(please see below for explanation of PMC ).
After firing, I brush, file, solder, polish and give the final touch and accent to the silver.

After this stage each jewelry has its own process of combining it with different materials, such as sterling silver, enamel, glass, 24k gold leaves, precious stones or pearls.

In Persian “Gol” means flower. Each flower is unique and has its own beauty. So has my "GOL collection", all one-of-a-kind and with their own unique number.
.
From each "GOL" there is only one, and this one can be shining on your body for many years.

JEWELRY FROM BRASS

My new challenge in making jewelry is working with gold-colored brass.
I love gold.
Gold jewelry though has a price and therefore it is not affordable for everyone.
For those who love the appearance of shiny gold,
gold-colored brass offers a nice alternative for an affordable price.

The color combination of two contrasting materials in my jewelry offers exceptional beauty.
I achieve this by shaping the brass and combining it with silver or with silver/aluminum. Aluminum can be worked and treated so that it looks like silver.

TIP FOR CLEANING THE BRASS JEWELRY

Brass jewelry has an attractive, moderate sheen,
but when it starts to get dirtied and tarnished that sheen will look less and less impressive.

If your brass jewelry has begun to tarnish or look dull, just deep it in a “silver deep bath” liquid
for few second, rinse it with water and dry it with
a soft towel.

It will shine again like gold !!

PRECIOUS METAL CLAY (PMC)

Precious metal clay (PMC) is a revolutionary material that has tiny particles of silver or gold suspended in an organic binder to make
a material that can be sculpted like clay. It is then kiln fired at a high temperature to remove the binder
and produces an object that is pure silver (999) or gold (24k).

It can be combined with glass, high heat resistant
gemstones and other metals to make beautiful jewelry.

BEADALON WIRE

Beadalon, the highest quality wire, exists of 49 smaller silver or gold plated (24k) wires stranded together and nylon-coated for the best flexibility.
It is the preferred wire for jewelry because of its strength, softness and flexibility.
