Zephirine Drouhin Climbing Rose Plant - Large 1 Gallon Size

The Zephirine Drouhin rose bush is an exceptional old-fashioned climbing rose known for its lush, cerise-pink blooms that reach about 3 inches in diameter (with a cluster much larger) and emits a delightful fragrance. Introduced in 1868, this hardy climbing rose thrives in shady garden areas, making it an ideal choice for landscaping north-facing walls or areas that receive little direct sunlight. However, it can flourish in full sun as well! Its blooms peak in late spring and reappear in the fall. The semi-double pink flowers grow in loose clusters, creating a stunning visual effect. Each bloom opens from a long, pointed bud and consists of 20 to 30 richly colored petals infused with a strong damask scent.

Additionally, the rich dark green foliage (which is coppery-purple when young) is highly resistant to mildew, and the canes are almost thornless, making this rose suitable for areas with heavy foot traffic or where children are present.

This plant is currently growing in a 1 gallon pot – please see photos of examples of our actual plants! Healthy and full plants!
