MADONNA - large spot, lace & crochet
Description
This creation came from a Madonna-'Like-A-Virgin'-esque' vintage slip dress. I loved the lace bust cups and sheer detailing... I just knew I wanted to make it into a really fun dress!
I added in a huge amount of my spot lace fabric into the skirt to give it fullness and also to make it less sheer! There are two layers that have been heavily pleated into the waist which also has a tiny frill detail to it. Under the spot lace is the original slip dress lining. You could wear high waisted knickers under this or an additional slip skirt to make it more opaque.
To add more texture and detail, I applied vintage cotton doilies around the bust area for a more whimsical look.
Measurements: (note: model is approximately size UK 8/US 4/EU 36)
Bust: approx 34cm - cup size approx B-C with underwiring (note: lace bust is single layer only with cotton doilies - you may want to add bust cups.
Waist: approx 34cm
Length = approx 110 cm with adjustable straps
Please note: Each piece may have slight imperfections which is just part of the overall aesthetic and may not be to everyone's taste. These are made from vintage pieces and also mostly customized with vintage remnants therefore you will be receiving a truly unique piece of clothing.
