Description

A tutorial for a beadwoven cuff bracelet in herringbone and ladder stitch, incorporating a subtle colour gradient like waves in the ocean.

As seen in 'Digital Beading Magazine' April 2014.

This pattern takes you step by step through constructing the bracelet base and adding rows of herringbone stitch to build up the pattern. It assumes no prior knowledge but you will find it easier if you have a little beadweaving experience, so I'd rate it 'Intermediate' rather than 'Beginner'.

To make the bracelet you need approximately 10g total weight of size 11 seed beads in six toning colours, plus a clasp of your choice, two open jump rings, needle, thread, scissors and pliers.

The tutorial is very adaptable: you can make a bracelet to fit any size of wrist, and there are endless colour and pattern variations. You could even add a second layer of herringbone and perhaps make it ruffle... or shape the edges... I look forward to seeing what other beaders make of it!

The instructions are in English only and are supplied as an instant download. You'll be given a link to download the file when your payment is completed.

[EU customers: the price you are seeing includes the new EU VAT charge on digital items, at the rate correct for your country. Etsy collects and remits this tax on its sellers' behalf. I am not responsible for setting the rate, nor do I receive a higher price as a result of this change. If you want more information, or to join the protest against this legislation, see here: http://euvataction.org/ ]

Additional policies

All my jewellery is made with love and care and as well as I can make it. Please treat it with respect and it should last you for years - handle it carefully and avoid tugging it sharply, be kind when opening and closing the clasps, store it flat and out of direct sunlight, keep it dry, avoid contact with perfumes and other cosmetics (they may damage the finish on certain beads), and remember that most of the beads I use are made of glass, so if they're dropped on a hard surface they may not survive intact!

My windchimes are likewise carefully made but please treat with respect and avoid tugging sharply on the chains. Hang from a secure attachment point out of children's reach. Not all are suitable for outdoor use so please read the description before you purchase.

My vintage items are photographed and described as honestly as I know how. Most of the cutlery is still perfectly suitable for everyday use. To prolong their useful life, avoid soaking items with pearl or celluloid handles and try not to polish silverplate too often.

My tutorials are available in English language only.

Business contact details are given in the EU standard cancellation notice in the Refund/Returns & Exchanges Policy section.
