These three photos are not mounted, but are individual photos that were tucked into an album featuring a number of photos of happy Gibson girls with friends - on a picnic, on a ship, strolling, laughing etc. taken in various places in California during the late 1800s, early 1900s.

So they are a stark contrast to the large Victorian houses, big dresses and hats so prominent in the other photos. Could it be that these were also taken in California -- or are they photos of "Back Home" on the ranch where life was much harder? Don't know, but I love the composition and moodiness of these three little pieces of art.

Photo on left measures 2 1\/2" x 4 1\/4" and has a hand-written title on the back, "Macho Ranch."

Photo on right measures 3 3\/8" x 5 5\/8." I love the way the camera captures a moment in this guy's life.

Photo on bottom measures 3 1\/4" x 1 3\/4" and is a great example of a team of working horses.

I imagine that someone might want to frame these all together or use them as a group somehow.
