this piece is a porcelain bowl that is formed over a balloon with a very thin slab of clay. the piece is fired and then stained with copper carbonate, glazed on the inside and fired again, the piece is light and sturdy. the bowl is just about 4.25 inches tall and roughly 5 inches wide

This vessel is so simple and so beautiful. I now have 4 of these from Lyn Swan and I hope she makes more. Can't wait until there are flowers for me to put in them.
