Description

This tiny lucet was designed and handmade by me- Noreen Crone-Findlay.
It's only about 2 inches by 2 inches, so it fits in a pocket or a small pouch to go everywhere with you. It's made from very thin, super high quality Baltic Birch marine grade plywood, so it's sturdy and feels lovely in your hand.

Lucets are wonderful tools that allow you to make cords quickly and easily- and you can create amazing things with them-beautiful embellishments, dolls, jewelry, button closures, drawstrings, bag handles, shoelaces and so much more!

If you don't know how to use one, that's not a problem, because I've made 6 awesome video tutorials on how to make Lucet cords and then how to use them in unique ways.

Here are the links for the tutorial videos:
Basic techniques: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87NFtQrw1K4
How to add beads etc and make wrap bracelets:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtw1U22wuo4&noredirect=1
How to make button closures: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Vlus76Owqc
Knots and Celtic Interlaces: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF73AXpGa2k
How to make shoelaces and how to make the aiglets, too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuSpBw8uI9c
How to make Celtic interlace hearts for ornaments, embellishment or yarn bombing"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t2st_H8blU

All my spool knitting patterns work beautifully with Lucet cords, so please check those out, too.

I will email you a pdf 'how to' for the basics at the time of purchase, which lists the links to the video tutorials, too, as well as having the pattern for the 4 loop Celtic interlace knot.

It's a charming little tool that is incredibly useful. I hope that you will enjoy it!

I don't ship a loop lifter with the Lucet, so you will have to select a nail or knitting needle or small crochet hook or poultry skewer from your own treasures to accompany your lucet.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the Latchet Lucet that I invented and that Dewberry Ridge makes so beautifully. If you want the Latchet Lucet, please go to: https://www.dewberryridge.com/products/latchet-lucet

I've had lots of fun with this pattern! It is very clearly written and material is presented in a way that stimulates one's own creativity.
