1.) MEASURE AND PLAN – Measure each artwork and your frame.
SKETCH YOUR LAYOUT and attach it to an Etsy message. If you don’t have a frame, let us know your desired outer mat size. Need help? Message us!

2.) CHOOSE YOUR MAT – Select your SIZE and MAT color.

3.) PERSONALIZE – Enter your window sizes and placement instructions, along with any other details.

4.) ORDER – Add to cart and check out!

CHOOSING YOUR COLORS
Please refer to our color charts when selecting your mat board colors. If the exact shade you’re looking for isn’t listed, message us with a description, item number, or color swatch. We’ll do our best to find the perfect match.
It’s common to select a neutral highlight or mid-tone color from your artwork.
However, there are exceptions to this approach. For example, music posters or other vibrant pieces with bold colors often look stunning with a darker mat (like black or navy). This approach creates a contrast with the poster's vibrant colors making them pop even more.
Ultimately, your selection should reflect your personal preferences, the style and colors of the artwork, and the environment where the finished piece will be displayed.

ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS
A.) USING THE DROP DOWN MENU SELECTIONS
- Select Frame Dimension (Mat Outside)
- Choose Mat Color (see color charts)

B.) Add Your Personalization (Window Sizes and placement, etc...)
- Enter Mat Window Sizes in the text box (Windows are cut ¼” smaller for overlap)
If you selected a “Custom Up To…” frame dimension, enter the frame dimension first (Mat Outside)

EXAMPLE (See sketch on image 3):
Frame: 14 x 20
Window 1: 5x7 (horizontal)
Window 2: 2.5 x 5 (vertical)
Window 3: 5x5
Window 4: 4x10.5 (horiz)
Window 5: 4x5 (horiz)

PLEASE NOTE: All mat windows are cut ¼” smaller than the ordered size to ensure the mat overlaps your art print or photo image.
IF YOU PREFER AN EXACT CUT, please state “WINDOW EXACT:” followed by the desired sizes, and we will cut the mat windows to your desired dimensions.

PROCESSING TIME
All mats are custom-made to order and will be processed within 1–3 business days.
Orders ship within 4 days.

ESTIMATED SHIPPING TIMES
East Coast: 1–3 business days
Midwest and Southeast: 3–6 business days
Northwest and Southwest: 4–7 business days

Once shipped, delivery times depend on the carrier. A tracking number will be provided for you to monitor your shipment.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES
At this time, we do not accept returns for custom-cut mats. If your mat arrives damaged, please message us with photos of both the mat and the packaging, and we’ll work with you to resolve the issue.
