These two medical science textbooks were both published editions from the 1960's, and were owned by the same nursing student, a young lady named Nancy with lovely handwriting! Nancy was a scrupulous highlighter of important details and left study notes to herself in the page margins, as can be seen in the 3rd and 4th photos. So if you're like me and a fan of the unique charms of someone else's marginalia, you'll appreciate these books!

The binding on both is in great condition, and I think the cover designs have a very distinctly midcentury vibe. Check out the great illustrations on the front and back covers of the orange Physio text! Both books have attractive gold lettering.

As these books are 50 years old, there's bound to be some outdated information contained in them. Just with a quick browsing, I noticed some old taxonomy that placed fungi in the plant kingdom, some extremely outmoded terms for intellectual disabilities, and ambiguous etiology of stomach ulcers, now known to be frequently caused by H. pylori. Someone with a better background in microbio or physiology would probably spot more of these!
