Description

A classic, cabled and easy to knit scarf with a bit of a twist. The scarf is completely reversible - one side is CABLED and the other side is FABRIC...or QUILTED!

The scarf design is simple and can be finished in less than a week - with an easy to memorize, interesting cable pattern. This is a project you can easily take with you to knitting group and not have to worry about making a mistake.

This scarf is completely unisex and can be personalized for the receiver by choosing the most appropriate yarn color and fiber, as well as the fabric color and material.

(To make the larger scarf, use a larger needle (I used a size US 7) and you’ll need about 30 extra yards…250 total. This adds about an inch to the width and 10 inches to the length, after blocking.)

I recommend reading the pattern very carefully first and also picking out a fabric (or fabrics) that you’ve tried wearing against the delicate skin of your neck before buying/cutting. Quilting cotton works okay, but I also recommend a thin, cotton flannel or something sheer and without much fuzz or hairiness (try to avoid mohair, angora, etc.)

Materials Needed: 220-250 yards of worsted weight merino wool, size US 6 needles, fabric, tapestry needle, scissors, measuring tape, needle, thread

Finished Size: 4.5" x 44" (there are larger size instructions available...see above)

Techniques Required: knit, purl, cable, slipped sts, simple cutting & straight stitch sewing

This pattern includes only written instructions.

(The flower shown in the photos is a pattern from my Dreamscape book, called "Chimera Flower".)

Thank you so much for visiting my store! Happy Knitting!

A nice little book with beautiful little projects, like the famous Amanda Hat. I also like the other hats and the two shawls (soleil and immortel). The instructions and the charts seem to be very clear. Can´t wait to knit the Amanda hat first!
I received the two books very nicely wrapped as a gift and with a friendly dedication from Gina. This was her first package to Germany and all went fine.
Thank you, Gina!

A very nice and carefully made book with beautiful projects! I specially like the shawl on the cover, the Violet´s Garden Socks, the Queen`s Mirror Shawl (with another colour) and the Hunter Scarf of Noro Yarn! And what I really like is that the charts are very confortable for the eyes to read, because they are big and clear.
Thank you Gina, for this inspiring book. I am looking forward of many hours of happy knitting.
